Whoo-hoo! My first successful conversions...

Being a recent convert myself (thanks to the DVD release of Serenity, and my subsequent purchase of Serenity, Firefly, tshirts, soundtracks, comic books and visual guides), I just completed my first three successful conversions! Made my Dad watch the pilot, and he was impressed. If he doesn't go out and buy the DVD set, I'll buy it for him. Made my sister order the DVD set, promising she'll love it. She hasn't watched it yet, but who cares? It's a DVD sale. Told her if she hates it, I'll buy it back from her and donate to a local library. Convinced a friend who'd seen Serenity to buy Firefly--she watched the pilot last night (with another friend, no less), and they're hooked. The plan to watch one episode every Sunday night. Maybe they'll even invite friends!

Sorry for the doesn't-really-impact-anyone news. Just was very excited about spreading the word ...

My husband can be a hard sell, but I worked subtlely and took advantage of a snow day!

He even started watching the next episodes without me!

I've converted my dad and 2 cousins who were once Star Wars geeks like I was. My mom liked Serenity but I haven't shown her Firefly yet. My sister says "It looks lame." and she only saw the trailer for Serenity and never saw one minute of Firefly.

I'll get her eventually.

Mal would kick Han Solo's ass.
