UPN + WB = CW?

I may be very late in seeing this news, but the WB and UPN networks are going to shut down in September and merge into the CW network? Interesting. I have never heard of anything like this before. My cable provider carries both UPN and WB, I wonder if this means they will provide another channel to replace one of them when they merge or if they will just not have an extra channel for those of us with only basic cable. That would stink. Lose one channel and still pay the same price. Plus, we might lose some of those fantastically horrible old movies they show when they have nothing else to air.
