Spreading the word

I just thought of this while sitting at my computer and although I'm not sure how much it would help spread the word, it's an idea nonetheless. I am a college student and I find many of my wasted hours going into watching online videos on sites such as break.com and collegehumor.com. I think that we could expose more people to the 'verse by placing video clips and pictures on sites such as these (and hopefully it's legal for us to do so). Anything that you think would catch someone's attention and make them click on the link. That's all we need to get them to see it and say "what is this? It looks pretty good. I'll go check it out."
If anyone has any suggestions I can get the clip and post it myself. I think that break.com even gives away money for things posted, and thats money that we could use to buy more things Firefly.

Also, we have many talented people who post here all the time. Try posting on sites that normally wouldn't have anything from Serenity on them.

Another idea I had comes from the Star Wars fan base. I've seen many Star Wars fan videos out there. There are so many that George Lucas even has an annual competition. That's something we could do, we have the talent. Make fan videos and post them online. We already make music vidoes, so there's another thing we can post.

Pretty much all I'm saying is we need to post our 'verse everywhere and anywhere we can think of. It only takes a little bit to get someone hooked.

Well, this is very tricky legal territory. If the studio finds out about it, they might let it slide, or they might send you a "cease and desist" legal letter, telling you to remove it.

A good idea in principle, but I'd be careful about actually doing it.

as long as there is a good disclaimer and you don't make any money out of it it's cool. Also, it should feature other characters from the 'verse, not just BDH :)
