The Firefly Poem

Serenity Valleys where the end began,

Turned Malcolm Reynolds into a changed man,

Raised head to the heavens, it had him curse,

Where is my God in this universe,

With no answer to question that he could see,

He left that valley, Sereinty,

Into the black he made his way,

To live and fight another day,

With crew he fights to right his wrong,

And was surprised as hell to hear the Jaynestown song,

With Simon there to mend his woe,

And Independence buddy and good friend Zoe,

With Jayne, Inara, River and Wash,

They have their freedom, but at what cost,

Kaylee there too helps ease their cares,

And Shepherd Book aboard to say grace and prayers,

Serenity still flies, there is a reason,

We anxiously await another season,

My appetite for "verse" I must be feedin,

LYSANDER

I don't post a lot but I read everyday. This was a great poem so I wanted to post and let you know how much I liked it. It was a good way to start off my morning with 7th and 8th grade students. Good work!!

Simon: What if he(Mal) tells you to kill me?

I'm glad that you guys liked my verse of the "Verse"
It was banging around in my head last night so I had to get up and jot it down.

Its raining outside here so its pretty much going to be an inside day.
