am i the only one that channels characters?

So about a week ago i was at work. Big damn dumb corporate resturant. I work both as a waitress and also in the kitchen, and whilst i was waitressing i noticed something: I soothed a table, giving just a little BS, and then thought of Inara. I paid attention, and realized that i channel her character when i'm talking to my tables. Not so much the bedding them for cashy money, but the anticipating their needs and telling them what they want to hear. Later that week, working in the kitchen, i was gruff and bitchy but working fast and accurate, and i thought of Zoe and Jayne. And when i was goofing off later in the shift, saying random crap for kicks and giggles, i thought it was something i could picture River saying.

Does anyone else do this? Deliberately or inadvertantly? Am i completely tweaked?

I don't think I channel characters too often, except for maybe Inara, Simon, and Wash. Inara only because I have to talk on the phone at work, which sometimes includes dealing with bitchy clientele. I don't really channel Wash, it's just that we have similar personalities and tend to react in the same way to different (especially tense) situations. I'm somewhat similar to Simon as well, mostly because I tend to be analytical.

At last.
We can retire and give up
this life of crime.

I doubt you are the only one who feels this way. From time to time I find myself channeling Wash. Why, just the other day, a few friends of mine were plannig a bachalor (sp?) party and I said, "mine is an evil laugh!" They all turned and started to laugh uncontollably.

FLAME

OH, I channel them. Definitely. I think, for me, it's Jayne, a lot. Which is a mite disturbing because I'm female. A married female with 2 kids, no less.

I got to channel Simon last night, though, because my husband was being particularly "windy," and I said, "Can you not do that while I'm -- Ever?"

I am convinced that there is a FIREFLY line for every occasion.

My best (Browncoat) friend tells me I regularly freak her out with my Riverness. However, she constantly channels Kaylee - even at half-past seven on a Saturday morning - so we're just as mad as each other.
