Alright, I am new to the downloading of the internet thing and I noticed that some episodes are over 400,00 kb. I have dial-up at home. Wouldn't this take about 15 days to download??? Should I just get BB or RR and be done with it? Or is there any hints on a faster process? Thanks for the assistance... :banghead

Hey Adasm,

Pretty much you got three options.

1) Use your dial-up connection to download the files. It takes a stable 56K connection about 4 minutes to download 1MB. So for a 400MB file, it would take about 26 hours. That would be one of those "Turn it on in the morning, go to work, come home, go to sleep, and see if it's done in the morning" type thing.

2) Get broadband. I personally love my cable modem. After getting it I swore that I would never go back to dial-up. If you think you'll be doing a lot of downloading then I would definitely suggest this option.

3) See if you can get someone to burn you copies of the episode to CDs and mail them to you. Any postal fees and/or other fees would have to be decided upon.

Enjoy the new shows!

Plzz help! I downloaded HOG and it was saved as MPG file. It however shows message about MPEG bitcasting when I ty to open it in RM and no luck as well in WM. I tried to open in PowerDVD but only get static pictures and it got this green stripe and plays for only 6 seconds before it stops. How can this be fixed!!

The problem is most likely that you don't have the right codec on your PC. If you're using a Mac it' a whole different story.

I was able to use a program called TMpegEnc to convert the file to an mpg1 format. It's more universal.

Pretty much just open the program, then browse to the file you want to convert and then keep clicking next, accepting the defaults to the end where you rename the file slightly so you don't overwrite the original.

It will take a while to do the conversion (an hour or more depending on the speed of your PC)

The converted files will most likely end up on Kazaa soon

Does that seem right to you?
