my older cat Cali was doing her usual protest about our other cat Mira by defecating on a rug, and when my mom went to clean it up she found out that it was bloody, what does this mean?

all I ask is that you send some prayers(or whatever, I'm not here to argue religion right now) my way asking that she be all right.

please.

You think you know--what's to come, what you are. You haven't even begun.

I did a quick search, and it looks like there could be several causes for it; most are minor problems, but some are not.
I hope she's ok.

Well, change of diet could cause hardened stool, which it said could cause some bleeding, yes. In fact, that was usually the first result that came up, was the hardened stool thing.

Bacteria, parasites and viruses were mentioned as well. Along with a few other things, including benign tumors and cancer. Here's the link I found:

.aspx

Should probably take her to the vet asap. I'll keep my fingers crossed it's nothing horrid.

CAPTURE

One of my cats went through the same thing, he had really stinky poo with blood in it, after I changed to a better brand of food he was fine. I used to give them purina, but now I only feed them iams, it is way more expensive, but cheaper then a vet bill!

I hope everything turns out ok, and I will deffintly send up some prayers for you and your kitty!

Good-luck!

Capture me if you dare.

thank you, we would switch back to the other food, but it's the only thing Mira will eat, and if Cali sees Mira eating something she will eat it too to be sure Mira isn't getting any special treatment
