We all know that Serenity is the 10th character. But after watching the first 3 episodes tonight. I got the feeling that I was actually there amongst the crew. I never said anything, I just observed. I was just a crew member too shy to say anything. And minded my own buisness.The camera is through my eyes and I follow it. And with this thought....

What if the camera is seen through the eyes of River? Imagine that the cameraman was actually supposed to be River, walking around not saying anything, watching people and no one paying attention since she's 'crazy'. We never know where she is most of the time and why not have we see the characters through her eyes. Of course when we do see her, we go back into the 11th character. The passenger each of us wants to be. So very dearly a passenger above our beloved Firefly class- Serenity.

I like your theory, but I'm inclined to agree with Pheonix on this one, we just might be the 12th character. However, it would still be cool to pretend that we were an unseen character, which I do every time I pop in a disk and press play!
