How many Browncoats are out there?

I see new faces here everyday.

I also recognise a few of the regulars here on other boards.

When the campaigns for the movie were up and running, did anyone ever compile a list of BCs? For organisational purposes. I wasn't involved in those initiatives, and would like to know what it entailed. Was anyone in charge? Or was it a 'get swept up in the moment thing?'

I was also intrigued to see why Xena - Warrior Princess is doing so well in the TV - voting polls, and why Bonanza (Bonanza!!!???) is running them a close second.

Bonanza has a website with a mailing list.
Xena has a fan club. (which, by the way, you have to pay to be a member of). So they have a couple of easy accesible fans, ready to spring into action on command.

I don't know if something like that exist for Browncoats. (I'm not propogating a fan club!!!!)

I'm asking because I would love to spread the word about the TV-voting poll, to get more than 600 votes a day and to whup Xena's..uhm...behind.

Point of interest. One of the Xena websites had a button that allows the Xenites (?!) to write a letter to Universal, begging for a movie.

Copy cats.

Yes, but I'd like to reach the legion.

Tell 'em to vote.
We need approximately 22000 votes to take out Farscape.
And I'm frustrated with the 500 votes a day thing.
It feels silly if we have the numbers to do it quicker.

The Xenites (*cough*.....sorry, can't get over the name...) has been voting for over a year to get where they are. And at one stage WE HAD MORE VOTES THAN THEY!. They just rallied, pulled together, and cleaned our clocks.

And there's something damn unsettling about losing to people who call themselves Xenites.

Actually folks, there are a lot of Browncoats, just not so much with the active Browncoats. Posting here at FFF.net has fallen off and the other board has suffered a reduction in posting too. There are a lot of folks lurking, including folks who used to post, but folks that take part in actual votes, guerilla marketing campaigns and activities are very few.

We found that out on our now sadly underused and much maligned BDTY.com site.

Someone needs to fire these folks up to get them to go vote for Firefly and beat the Xenites ( ooooo that's even weird to type!).

Uhm...here's the thing. I don't know how to post a link. *blush* I figured out how to do the "quote" thing, after some painful experiences, and I still don't know how to do the smiley face thingey.

But there's a thread on this very site about "vote for Firefly...best show ever" or something like that. It's been going for a while, and is bumped (figured out what that meant all by myself!) quite regularly. Some of us has been voting every hour on the hour, but the flood of support your referring to....not so much.
