is there any place that keeps lists of sci-fi cons, flanventions, etc?
Went to a coupla Trek cons in the mid 70's, great fun, and been gone from them ever since. But FF brought it back, I'd love to go to a group thing with Browncoats, even as part of an F & SF con. In Sudden California/ L.A? Like the old song, " don't get around much any more."

You can see notices about most of the cons on the main page, in the Events section (on the right of the screen just under the News box).

You're in luck, since Flanvention2 is coming up in a couple weeks. But you're out of luck, as it's already sold out. You could check out the ticket exchange to see if any are available. That's on the Booster Events web site, under community/forums/flanvention2.

What DonCoat said. It seems like passes come up for sale quite often on the ticket exchange, so you might get lucky. I don't know about a cocktail party or banquet ticket this late in the game, but a weekend pass might be possible. Here's the link:
