I was watching The Train Job again tonight. Isn't the sheriff (corrected) the same actor as the mayor in Slither?

Silence ya gotta it, The sheriff in train job was a good man. Mal ain't gonna hoodwink no good guy come on. That dude reminds me of James Caan. Another one of my favorite actors.
