Forget Black Friday Yesterday was Browncoat Friday

Shopping was hell yesterday. I can't believe people fight over sweaters. They day was not fun until I noticed the person behind me in the line was wearing a Serenity shirt. I told him that I loved his shirt and suddenly the day was better as we struck up a "Joss Whedon and Firefly Rules/Fox is insane" conversation. As the conversation progressed and the line moved forward, the lady behind the counter noticed his shirt and joined our little conversation. She gushed about Zoe and Wash for a moment and suddenly it was my turn to finally check out.

Anyway, I think it just goes to show the power of the the Whedonverse that in the middle of all the craziness yesterday that three random people could connect. It made all the crazy go away even if it was only for a moment. Browncoats are some of the most friendly people on the planet!

Love it! The fact that you struck up the conversation et all, is well enough in and of itself but even the fact that our hardly known tv show is known so well!

How did it ever get cancelled... wait, don't answer that. This isn't a ranting thread.

the word is definitly spreading, we may not be getting out to all but the signal is out there and being picked up. people you would not even think of as being fans are coming across the show by mistake and wondering why there is no more! I don't think the fight is even half over, but it ain't dead, that's for sure.

I did but, she is actually a broadway costumer designer. So I think my Christmas gift this year is going to be a replica of one of Kaylee's outfits, I'm also looking into making a replica of Mal's boots for a browncoat friend of mine.

I felt the same way when I found out my mom was! She found Firefly after seing a Sci-Fi channel promo while watching Stargate Atlantis. I never thought of mentioning it until she asked if I had ever seen FF. I can't believe I hadn't asked her about it before then!
