Jerry is nervous. His palms are sweaty. WHY? Because he has to make a pitch.A pitch to "The Man". You see Jerry's job is to come up with new television programing that will make money and be successful in the oncoming year. He relaxes a bit because he feels he has a winner.

The door opens. A big man says to him " You are up next sir. Are you ready?"

Jerry replies "Yes"

The man ushers Jerry in and he feels like he's being lead to a seat in front of a prison warden.

A man sits in front of him behind a big dark desk. Fingers folded across the front of his chin.He has cold eyes. He says nothing.

Jerry begins. "There is a show I feel will be a good one for the upcoming season. It has action, adventure and a cast of disfunctional charaters that somehow get along. There is travel and exploration in both physical and emotional terms.There is meat to the characters and the show has grit. Folks will be able to identify with the people and unserstand their flaws and forgive them, or not. The thing is it will be interesting. The production crew will be top knotch and and f/x will be done extremely well. It is bound to be successful." He looks at the man.There is a smile on his face.The man extends his hand
"Well done lad.That sounds great!And what would be the name of this new show?"

Jerry " Well it isn't a new show sir. It's the old Firefly television series that was let go in 2002. The numbers show that it is very popular and people can't get enough. They are screaming for more. Wouldn't be hard to get the cast and crew to return. They've all agreed and are fans of the show themselves. Things can get going in a little over a month and some of the new stories are incredible." he answered with a smile.

Next day Jerry picks up his pink slip at the F*x corp. front desk.
