1) The funny. LOL funny.
2) The characters- most real peeps ever on a genre show (exceptin' FF and Dark Angel).
3) Martial Arts- and who can ever get enough of that??
4) Christoph Beck and Robert Duncan...musical genuises.
5) Best and most unique dialogue ever on TV.
6) We cared about the characters, enough to cry and get REALLY pissed at stuff, and threaten peeps who disagree with us, etc.

LEXAN

Episodes written/directed by Joss.

Variety of genres- humour, drama, action and horror, among others.

Excellent seasonal villains (for the most part).

Witty dialogue/creative use of language.

Realistic portrayals of life.

Convincing acting.

Oz. That guy was the coolest of cools.

Andrew and pretty much everything thing he said. He, in my mind, was the redeeming aspect of season seven.

1 - Xander's episode THE ZEPPO
2 - XANDER
3 - Joss' Writing team
4 - The Horror punctuated with The humour.
5 - Spike season 2! (yes I said Spike :D I liked him back then.)
6 - Cute Willow. Just about the best realisation of any character.
7 - SEASON THREE!!!!! All of it!!!
8 - Jane Espenson's episode JONATHAN
9 - Restless
10 - Most significant: HUSH
11 - Rupert Giles
12 - SLAYER FEST (Genius!)
13 - Cibo Matto singing two songs in INCA MUMMY GIRL
14 - "Don't taunt the Demon Xander"
15 - Two Slayers!
16 - DVD Extras - just what a Buffy addict needs when he's done with all the episodes.

While all of the Scoobies were loyal, I think that in many ways, Xander went above and beyond the call of duty. Whatever flaws he did have, you could never say disloyalty was one of them. Xander also had this strange ability to have great insight into people's feelings at the strangest moments. Two particular instances I can think of are in "Potential" and "In The Woods" (can you tell Xander is one of my favorite characters?

1) 3D characters

2) grey area's: making baddies loveable and hero's despicable.

3) the language. buffyisms, xanderisms, the general flexibility of sentances, it reminded us to have fun with words.

4) spike

5) fantastic supporting characters (wasn't all about the main people)

6) the "arty" episodes, the body, restless, hush, OMWF, to a lesser extent storyteller and CWDP, but constantly pushing the boundaries of tv

7) flashbacks, I love me some flashbacks, period costume and dodgy accents, hells yeah.

8) andrew and anya, comedy gold.

DESKTOPHIPPIE

1) The scoobies. I loved them all. After seven years of watching they felt like old friends. I hated to see them leave.

2) The non-scoobies who became scoobies. Anya, Tara, Oz... characters that would normally have been relegated to mere shippiness given room to grow and become as familiar (and popular!) as the scoobies themselves. Excellent.

3) The writing. Oh dear Goddess the writing. Prophecy Girl, Passion, Becoming, The Wish, The Zeppo, Graduation Day, Hush, Restless, Fool for Love, The Body, Once More with Feeling, Conversations with Dead People and so very many more. Absolutely excellent, start to finish.

4) The funny. Gotta love the funny. Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered, Dopplegangland, A New Man, Something Blue, The Zeppo... seriously I could type all night.

5) The Music. From the bands that played at the Bronze to the orchestral music as Faith crawls out of her coma, the music was excellent.

*sigh* I miss the show. *wanders off to watch her DVDs again*
