I saw this episode for the first time on SPACE, & I was very impressed by its exploration of the themes of bondage & penal justice.

I had no idea how it was that there came to be a statue of that character in the middle of the square, nor how it would resolve.

It was not in any way predictable, beyond the fact of the notion that the slaves would restore the statue, along with their belief in the title character as a Folk Hero.

Also, I did not know that character's name until I saw this episode!
