Since Nathan Fillion (Mal) has moved from the 'verse onto Wisterian Lane (Desperate Housewives) I've noticed that there are two episodes that the guest stars are his fellow "husbands" from DH.

Doug Savant (Tom Scavo) as Commander Harken in Episode 2 "Bushwacked"
Richard Burgi (Karl Mayer) as Lt. Womack in Episode 14 "The Message"

Nathan plays a gynecologyst on DH but never gets the great lines he did on Firefly (or cuss in Mandarin)...

Yeah, I noticed that as well. You know, for being a primetime soap, it's actually a genre fans friendly show. You have three FIREFLY actors, Teri Hatcher and Kyle MacLachlan. So depending on the scene, you have Lois Lane, Mal Reynolds and Dale Cooper occupying the same space. It's geek heaven to have them all together.

Also, Doug and Richard were also on 24. Doug was in Day 3 as the manager of the Chandler Plaza and Richard was in Day 1 as Alan York/Kevin Carroll. If Nathan can find a way to squeeze in some time on 24 before that series wraps, than those three actors will have been on three separate series.

And Nathan's had some cool moments in the show. He delivered an illegitimate child dressed as Frankenstein and terrified Lynette's kids in the process. And he gave a great verbal smackdown to the woman she was with for manipulating him about what happened to her daughter. He tapped into that cold side of Mal's.

And Dana Delaney and Nathan were in Pasadena together for a couple of episodes. It's not sci fi but it looks like the producers noticed the chemistry.

I just wish that DH would use Nathan more. I know it's the women's show but Nathan needs more opportunity for humor and snark. He's so good at both.

And Relax. And Relax. And Relax.

And the look he gave during the fork stabbing incident.

I hope Desperate Housewives gave him a camera sometime during the shows...so we can have great Nathan DVD extras.

Like the great DVD extras in Firefly, SLiTHER, and White Noise: The Light.

I hope with the crew's success on other TV series (Nathan on Desperate Housewives, Adam on Chuck & Summer on Terminator:The Sarah Connor Chronicles, etc...) it doesn't make them unavailable WHEN the fan outcry gets the Firefly saga continued. More movies would probably be the best bet since it seems many actors do movies while their shows are on hiatus.
