I noticed this awhile ago and figured many others have seen it, but I havent seen anything posted about this. In the Battlestar Galactica Miniseries 14:15sec during the presidents introduction there is a ship that sails by the screen and looks if not identical then very closely related to Serenity.

What do you think?

All the other threads about it are archived.
I'm pretty sure this is the first:

That's cool, definitely a Firefly class transport.....

How about the SR71 flying around in (I think) Trash? Thought that was interesting.....

In this thread http://fireflyfans.net/thread.asp?b=2&t=33510 I talk about a similar planet within the two shows (read thread for more details). In the discussions we talk about how Earth that was and Caprica were the same planet, this only helps confirm that LOL. I really think were on to something, maybe Jayne is the final cylon.

"Ow my god, who could it be, were all doomed, who's flying this thing.... Ow right that would be me."

The same company did the special effects for both Firefly and the mini-series for BSG and yes that is definitely a Firefly in the background. This was mentioned in several other threads and I think is also in the trivia section for BSG on IMDB.com.

It absolutely is a Firefly! The new Battlestar miniseries was one of the first "major" projects Zoic Studios was involved with after Firefly. A lot of people over there are Browncoats too.

Good eyes - it's great having people find this on their own!

MAL "You only gotta scare him."
JAYNE "Pain is scary..."
