Does anyone here remember the television show UFO? I remember liking it and owning the lunchbox while in elementary school, but for the life of me I can't remember the show.

This one goes way back to 1970. It was British. The women wore different colored wigs and sexy outfits and the aliens were in spacesuits filled with a green liquid.

I remember it. But looked it up in Wikipedia just to be sure it was the same show.

I think I watched it more for the sexy females then for anything else. I was going through puberty. Hell, I'm still going throuh puberty. Their outfits were awful suggestive. They looked more like whores then part of some military force fighting aliens. The wigs added to their exotic look.

I was just going to check if it was available after leaving here. Add it to my IMdB list. I like to throw a clinker in there for laughs.

Edit:
Just returned from International Movie Data Base and this show has a good sized following.
Found plenty of people at Amazon who sell this.

Oh, man! I loved this show as a kid, and collected the Dinky Toys: the Interceptor and the Mobile (but they never put out a SkyDiver, dammit!). Never had Straker's car, though.

You'll love this site...

Wish I could afford the DVDs!

I made a Ufo out of an Apollo capsule model & hung it by a thread for that cool spinning action.

I probably will buy the dvd set, but I think it will be a low priority collection.

Just added this to my IMDb list. A little more prompting and I will order the DVD set.

Gotta love the purple hair.

If this is not your cup of tea try Rocky Jones Space Rangerrrrrrrr. The writters were so ignorant of outer space no has been able to tell where these guys were traveling. One episode had them going to Saturn and without knowing if they would have enough fuel to get back and then another episode they were to what appeared to be another solar system. But this great stuff. It was aimed at a young audience.

But lets get back to the purple hair and the Moonbase uniforms of UFO.

I think I really want to get Space 1999 before I get UFO, but I think that I will get UFO as soon as I can afford to.

Space 1999 was produced by the same people who made UFO, so you are aiming in the right direction.
