Well, it's November, and people are already talking about Thanksgiving. Probably should've put this thread up yesterday considering it was Guy Fawkes Day, but I was lazy ><

*snoopy dance*

*lands on ceiling*

Let the fun begin. ^_^

Time to bring out all my Christmas movies and start watching them. "Every time a bell rings an angle gets its wings" to "triple dog dare you" and everything in between.

Well I spread them out. Maybe one a weekend. There just good movies to watch. I also hear it is going to snow in Wisconsin. Nothing like throwing a Christmas movie on to keep warm as the snow flies.

We have an occasional white Christmas. The snow we are going to get will probably melt in a couple of days. It does not stay cold enough until January for the snow stay. You have travel to the northern part of the state to have a good covering by Christmas. All it does here is cause traffic jams and accidents.

Milwaukee has not even started to pick up the leaves. We usually have leaves with snow covering them and that makes it even worse to drive on.

And of course when the snow melts, the leaves cover the drains and our intersections become flooded.

lol, sounds like ur road crew needs to wake up and pick up the pace :-P

the road crews in CT take their sweet-ass time plowing the main roads. i remember having to drive to drill on a snow-covered highway because for some odd reason they hadn't reached it yet. traffic was reduced to one lane because everyone had to follow the exact tracks of the person in front of him to avoid getting stuck or spinning out ><

Our county is in charge of the interstate highways and do a better job. It take a serious snowstorm with a wind blowing drifts to give them trouble. But then you pull off and get stuck on a city street.

Well, when the streets clog up to the highway exits and then to the highways themselves you might as well relax and move a few feet forward ever couple of minutes till you get clear of it.

You might get it in a couple of days. Here at the center of the known universe (Chicago don't you know) it's just turning toward a more Novemberish temperature.

hmmm snow clearing...well if I had some snow I'd tell you..but also there is a reason I have an SUV with 4wd. Snow removal is never timely enough

Snow is Grandmother Gaea telling her children that they really don't need to be anywhere any time soon. If only more of her children would listen.

BAM!
Yeah... I'd prolly get a white Thanksgiving before a white Christmas. Just my luck.
That's whatI get for living on an island, we never get the good stuff.
A snow day hereabouts means that the roads have iced over.
No fun at all!!!

-Danny

God bless the Daylight,
The sugary smell of Spring-time,
Remembering when you were mine,
In a still suburban town,
When every Thursday,
I'd brave those mountain passes,
And you'd skip your early classes,
And we'd learn how our bodies work

The Band of the week is... Death Cab For Cutie

Dear Chinook winds,

Please just stop. 80 MPH gusts are quite excessive. If the goal is to knock over little children, congratulations, I'm sure you've succeeded by now. And while I appreciate the warmth, it's not worth the potential danger of small things flying quickly towards my eyes, because I really like my eyes.

P.S. Don't ever come back. Thanks.
