I have recently revisited my love for Firefly and I miss roleplaying them. I mainly play Mal, but I might be able to play someone else.

I don't know what you guys refer to it as (text rp, pb post, etc.). I've experience on journals and boards/forums. If anyone could point me in the direction of an active game, I would be eternally grateful!

hi mayorst.
i have created a virtual firefly fleet [ VFF ].
the 2 most active ships are VFF TRANQUILITY [ my ship - the flagship ]and VFF BOOK [ the 2nd ship i created ].
there are 3 others but they are less active
[WASH, INDEPENDENCE - currently unmanned, and BROWNCOAT].
we have our own 'forum' here at fireflyfans.net, its called VIRTUAL FIREFLY, listed on the right side of the main page. here's the link:

we won 2nd place in UniversalHDs contest 'show us your browncoatedness'.

you can join any of these simply by posting [replying] to the last post in the most current story line, ie TRANQUILITY part 8 or BOOK part 5.
we aren't 'firefly' characters but our characters closely resemble them [most of the time].
ie. i'm SHADOWCAPTAIN, captain of TRANQUILITY, my 1st mate is a female DOCKCAT, my mechanic is SHINYFRYE, etc.

we could use a doctor or a shepherd on TRANQUILITY but you can create any type of character and join any boat you like.

you may want to read the story lines to get an idea of whats happening in each story, and how we post.

it is set after the end of the movie. They currently need Mal,Simon,Jayne,Kaylee. We will be starting up afer xmas and as soon as all spots are filled.

Hi,
I know its been awhile since you posted this, but I was cruising the net, looking for Chinese curse words to put into a post, and thought I'd mention yet another, play by post, game set in the Firefly universe -- in case you or someone you know is looking for a spot on a firefly class vessel.

The site is: http://www.ruanjitales.com

It uses SMS software so all you need to play is a browser and an email address. Everything goes through the site but copies are sent to your email address. The ship is just getting underway, no canon characters, and is set one year after the end of the war.

Positions still open include mechanic, companion, 'crew member' (which sounded nicer than hired muscle), and XO (though that requires an interview since there are out of character requirements as well).

No canon characters, no operatives, no readers -- and there's a requirement to post once/week (or tell the Captain why). Its PG13 (lower age limit is 16).
