MEMPHIS — City Councilwoman Janis Fullilove delivered food to the needy last week as part of Metropolitan Inter-Faith Association’s “Meals on Wheels” program.

Fullilove, a District 5 councilwoman, told a local television crew it was her “good deed for the day” before getting into her vehicle and driving off.

The only problem is that Fullilove doesn’t have a valid driver’s license following a series of controversial driving incidents.

Now there are questions about whether Fullilove — already facing a grand jury hearing on whether she lied to obtain a duplicate drivers license — could face charges for driving without a license and how MIFA allowed someone with such a high-profile driving history to deliver meals.
