It's that time in this part of the 'Verse. What some people call 'spring' but really all it does is rain. and fog. and rain.

I like fog. It's first on my list of meteorological phenomenon. I dance the dance of fog.

I used to live in Oklahoma where a forecast of rain meant all day downpours and raucus thunder and lightning. I loved it. I used to go to the window and just watch and listen. And watch the creek behind our house rise and almost reach our back porch

Here in Ohio it just rains, drizzles, spits and mists. The really good storms come at night when everyone's asleep. Not so much fun.

The rain in Spain stays mainly in the plain...

Sorry for some reason that just popped up

I adore fog ( though seldom see it due to the whole living in the desert thing...)

Fog creates snarls on the expressways. Some people slow down while others continue to speed. Yes, accidents that even make it worse. It is like a chain reaction.

oooh, the bf and i went to the beach early last summer to take a walk, and we reached the top of the dune before the shore and it was like a wall of fog. no fog in the parking/trails/pavilion area, which is right *next* to the shore, but as soon as u reached the top of the dune it was *zero* visibility. it was so awesomely creepy.

We have geese living all over campus, and since it's spring - AKA baby-making season - the male geese have become really hostile. There's a pair right next to the library's back entrance, and I've been glared at, and hissed at, and almost chased. Geese can be pretty intimidating.

Back to the fog topic. You made me think of a movie about gentlemen who is getting blackmailed by a woman in turn of the century London and he tries to frame her for attempting to poison him, but she is stoped by a bobbie as she takes a walk in the London fog and no one gets back in time to reverse his self poisoning. Sound familiar to anyone.

Outer Limits perhaps or Tales From the Dark side even. Or some obscure British TV horror show of the kind that seemed to get made a lot in the seventies and only ever shown in the US at very strange hours when the only people awake are too stoned and/or sleep deprived to really remember anything.

ur hilarious dude. dont know how u can stand it. XD

i've never seen a twilight zone, but my dad has recapped a few for me in years past.
i've seen *one* outer limits, though, the old outer limits, where this dude was a librarian but he had been deemed obsolete because books were considered obsolete, and if u were obsolete u were sentenced to death (dont know why) so he was given his last request, and he said he wanted to choose the way he was going to die. so when they escorted him home (his choice of place of execution) he started reading from a book, and the passage was something about fooling people to get back at them or something, i dont remember, but it was relevant to what was happening, and by the time the guards realized what was going on the countdown on the explosives expired and the room blew up. least thats what i remember, might be muddling some of the details a bit.
it was a trippy episode to be watching in the middle of the day O_o would have been even scarier at night.

I remember one similar to the librarian. I guy was sentenced to death for believing in God. He decided on the death he wanted and invited one of the leaders to his home. He then locked himself and the leader in his house and told him it was about to explode. The only way he would let the leader out was if he asked for God's help. The leader finally gave in and pleaded for God. The guy let him out and the house exploded. Of course the house was bugged and the Godless people heard the leader's plea. So he was the condemned to death for pleading with God. I am not sure if it was Twilight Zone or Outer Limits. They were very similar shows and both date back to the sixties.

But the fog story is a movie. I'm sure, but it must be British. I have no rememberance of the name of the film just what I have already mentioned.

I remember when the word trojan refered to a condom. Now it is a spyware virus. I got two of them within a month of each other and it cost me 100 bucks each time to get rid of them. I have an antivirus software, but there is always new viruses coming out.

A window would come up saying I had to a virus and to hit the ok button to get rid of it. But the window was a lure to allow the virus in. I just could not get rid of the window and work with my computer until the antivirus company I bought my contract with took it out. It was kind of interseting to watch as I had to let them take control of my computer and clean it out over the internet. I just sat back and watched the expert open up different folders and delete programs that did not belong. I certainly did not have a clue where he these folders were or how hw new what was a good file from a bad. Just new it was fixed after he guy was done. His name was Hindu, so I suspect he was doing this all from India.

I got a their virus and got on my antivirus's website and it immediately recognised it and told me what antivirus program to download. The program took care of the virus in a few minutes. So if your computer is operating okay, then feel fortunate.

If you go to a website that asks you to download a program you never heard of, I would recommend you find what your looking for somewhere else. if you need a program, then good directly to the company responsible for it.

I do enough damage on my own, without the help of a virus. I often use Control-Alt-Delete. A fellow employee calls it the three finger salute.

I always wondered why the University of Southern California named their football team after a condom. Aside from the fairly obvious reason that they go through enough of them at the mixers.

I swear by them. If it doen't say Trojan on the packet, then just say no.

Edit:
I have been using my printer today. I use it, maybe, four or five times a year. It gets bitter about being ignored and starts acting up. Needless to say I finally got what it to print after rebooting my computer.

As I said earlier, I don't need a virus to cause havoc with my computer. I am capable of creating my own disasters.
