Well, I am just over halfway into the series, and I'm beginning to look forward to watching Serenity. I have heard a bit about these CSTS showings and all and had an idea or two that I thought I'd throw out. I would definitely like to see the movie in the company of some fellow Brown Coats, but I'd also like to bring a little something to the table myself.

I'm a recording and performing artist (I've done 2 albums and am recording a third), and I had the idea that if there are other brown coat musicians in the area, we could get together, learn a few Firefly tunes (The main theme and Jayne's theme for starters), maybe write a Firefly-themed tune or two, and have a little performance/show/whatever before the whole thing kicks off. Or, if it doesn't work like that (I'm still a newbie, remember), then maybe just get together and have a good time working on some Firefly-related music with no particular goal in mind, or I could bring my recording setup and we could document the whole adventure.

In case it's not obvious, this is still very much in the "Rough Idea" stage in my head, but I figured I'd toss it out there and see what kind of feedback I could get.
