I know that Ron Glass is scheduled to make an appearance, but none of the others are confirmed. I haven't gotten to go before and I'm going to try to go this year and from what I can tell their panels have been huge hits in the past, they even got moved to the big room! Anyone know? Any rumors?

Yes, there are Firefly panels at D*C this year. Ron Glass is scheduled so far. He is a blast.

There will also be a panel, Sunday morning, from the crew of Browncoats:Redemption, a fan movie that just finished principal photography.

They are promising us a trailer and Denise Gary from KidsNeedtoRead, one of the charities benefiting from the profits, will be on the panel too.

I did a day as an extra on the film in April in Maryland and had a fantastically good time.

You may have heard about last year's panels. They were "well-attended" because Nathan, Alan, Jewel & Morena were all there. If Ron is the only cast member who comes to Dragon*Con this year, I wouldn't expect as big a crowd. Not to detract from Ron. Just that one cast member doesn't draw as many fans as 4.

With Nimoy, Shatner & Patrick Stewart making an appearance, I imagine the Trek Track will be this year's hot ticket.

NVG here:

Not to draw away from some really great stars, but the rumblings from people stating that the last D*C was too "Firefly" related might have a bit to do with it. WTF? Trek and Wars have dominated Sci-fi for decades. Allah forbid another fandom emerges from great story telling and better formed characters.

The panel we attended last year was full+++. There were still people being seated halfway through the panel. If I have to refer people to Ron's panel I will.

Willingly at gunpoint if I have to.

Lemme just say, Amen MSA. You need any help wranglin folks for Mr. Glass you just let me know. I'll more than likely be one of the many Jaynes running around the con.
Being "too Firefly related" is just another way of saying "too ruttin' shiny and awesome." No such thing.
Oh, btw I'm a bit of a newbie here, been a fan of the show for some years now and a fan of this site for a number of months. Decided I might try un-lurking for a spell since this site has proven to be full of some mighty fine folks!

Having been part of the crazy large panels last year, I kinda welcome what will hopefully be a smaller, more intimate setting with Ron. Looks like he's schedule for 2 Firefly/Serenity panels and 1 panel about working with Joss.

Those complaints must be from immature folk. Last year was Firefly-y, this year is BSG-y and Star Trek-y. So what? Every fandom should get some love each year.
