I don't find this all that crazy. Great Whites hang around Capetown, they come all the way out of the water when going after seals in the area, and they are documented to get over 20' long. For a long time, the record was over 37', but in recent years it's been argued that that individual may not have been a Great White after all.

Nonetheless, 20' is a damned large shark. "Jaws" big. Or dinosaur big. Bigger than a minibus, as mentioned.
