Gettin' old, but still a hippie at heart...


One of the things that made me whince during the Russian Occupation of Afghanistan was when an Afghan friend told me that their rugs, long famous throughout the world, now carried images of rockets, guns and tanks. The rugs have always incorporated things in their lives, but this spoke so eloquently. They made such beautiful rugs...
