Great! Let us know how that boycott's working out. I'm guessing of Alex's followers, as many as seven of them could actually afford an Audi in the first place, and they still think "Buy American" actually MEANS something. They're wrong, of course, but don't let that stop ya.

Eight, actually, and I *could* afford an Audi, but fucked if I'd buy one to begin with cause engine fires ain't exactly my idea of fun...

Alex is a wackjob, but occasionally a damned useful one, emphasis on occasionally.

I actually did buy an Audi once. ONCE.

And I followed it with something even more foolhardy: A Volvo 740.

That one ruined me on European cars, hopefully for good.

Awwww.

Are you SURE you don't want this cute little Fiat500 ?
Clean one owner, low mileage, and don't let the pint size fool ya, she's got power to spare...

Hehehehe.

The hell of it is, I'm pretty sure I *could* sell you that damn car, and the first bloody thing you'd do is haul it behind the garage and try to jam the engine off a Honda CBR sport bike in there, giggling all the while.

I KNOW you Mikey...

Hell, first time I saw THIS horrifying monstrosity I thought of you.

The really scary part ?
THAT gets BETTER gas mileage than a damn stock smartcar, and doesn't require premium fuel to do it, so what does that tell you about how shitty their engineering was, eh ?

America loves a winner!

I feel almost as bad for Cheap Trick hocking their music for this nonsense as I do for Roger Daltrey and his performance at half time.

Even a broke clock is right a couple of times. This " humorous " look into the future isn't all that far off from Obama's Hope and Change.

I saw it more as a... " ha ha! This is what we've got in store for you. No, really... it's what we REALLY have in store for you. Get use to it "

One of the more depressing moments of the night, right behind Katie's never ending Health care ad with Obama.

I paid $100 for an Audi in Germany. No brakes, no reverse, holes in the floor just like Fred Flintstone. Drove it on the Autobahn all the way to England. Thought it was gonna roll off the ferry into the English Channel. Clutch linkage fell off on the highway somewhere.

Was given a free Volvo Turbo that needed a $100 fuel pump. But the Mafia towing contractor for police stole it from the parking lot at Carmax. That was fun. Never got it back from the $1500 secret tow bill, but 100 towtruckers got fired.

Euro cars are overrated. In Germany, Mercs, Bimmers and Porsches are like Fords, Dodges and Chevys. But new ones are fun to play with at 130 mph on the Autobahn. In USA, they're just overpriced ticket magnets for overpaid yuppies. Just like crack.

i loved it! it reminded me of a speech Obama gave during the primaries, it was something along the lines of 'if we all properly inflated our tires, we could reduce our dependence on foreign oil/ and save the environment!' my question was.. well.. who would inforce that?? so my thanks go to Audi.. for giving me a heads up on the NWOs energy initiatives

I heard something about reducing our dependence on foreign oil, which is 100% provably true, but nothing about how that alone was going to "save the environment". Maybe you should stop letting FauxNews and Rush Limbaugh tell you what was said, because they're amazingly bad at it.

And if anyone out there is too stupid or lazy to check their tire pressures, they're too stupid to drive.

You know that T-Rex is built in the Canadian part of the NWO, right, PN? By those nasty "socialists" with their "gubmint" healthcare?

Strange that you'd endorse such an obvious plot by the NWO to subvert the US auto and motorcycle industries.

no i remember the rest, i heard it first hand. well ok, i confuse it with the speech he gave.. something to the effect of 'we can no longer, just.. set our thermostats at 72 degrees, year-round.. and expect the rest of the world to be OK with that.' hes been jabbering for 2 years now, he's said plenty of incriminating things. the point being, Barak thinks the world governments have the moral authority to micromanage our behavior! its as simple as that.. and thats what he's telling us. its the logical consequence of his postion, either you agree with him or you believe in personal liberty and freedom of choice.

i mean whats your position? big brother?

I found the ad to be humorous. It was a bit odd that the car they were trying to sell is being marketed for its' "green" virtues, while the ad itself mocks green extremism.

You present a false choice; you think it's an all-or-nothing proposition, that if I don't yell "Drill, baby, drill!" that I hate America and baby eagles.

I could as easily say - from your past posts here - that you think only the christian church has the authority to micromanage your life. So for all your talk of "personal liberty", you don't really believe in such.

By the way, how far does your "personal liberty" extend, anyway? Are you allowed to dump your used motor oil in my creek? Can I dump mercury in your garden? Does your idea of "personal liberty" and "freedom of choice" extend to everyone, including women who don't want to have children just yet, or would you prefer to let the church micromanage their lives? How about gays? Shall the government and church continue to micromanage their lives, or do they have the same personal liberties to marry those whom they love that the rest of us have?

Where are YOUR limits on personal liberties and freedom of choice?

USA has no motorcycle industry. Harley imports most of their junk.

i didnt say that, but isnt that the premise of the eco-movement? we arent drilling, for that very reason- the left believes its all-or-nothing as well

yes, but theres a difference: the christian church is not a monolith. it only has power over my life and my actions to the extent that i open myself up to its influence. christianity as practiced in AMerica is not a theocracy, or we wouldnt have freedom of religion. religion is a personal experience for most people, i dont have the ability to force you not to lie or steal, or pray to Jesus. government, by comparison, uses the coercive power of the collective, to engineer change. that to me seems the bigger threat

Quote:

By the way, how far does your "personal liberty" extend, anyway? Are you allowed to dump your used motor oil in my creek? Can I dump mercury in your garden?

no, but thats illegal under the constitution anyway, its called property rights! if an action i committ interferes with your health or property, im infringing on your property rights(right to life, liberty). the industrial revolution was the exception, because the government gave license to the corporations to usurp our property rights. thats why the pollution went unchecked, there was this government/corporate collusion(like is happening now). but that wasnt a failing of individual liberty, that was government complicity and interference. i personally believe the EPA is redundant

Quote:

i dont want to have the abortion debate, but for legal purposes, shouldnt we determine when a person recieves legal rights, or is it simply arbitrary? if a doctor harms a baby prior to birth, hes held liable legally. thats an implicit acknowledgement that the fetus has life. the law should have authority, and i think theres an important precedent to be set here. ultimately though, constitutionally it should probably be left up to the states and not the federal government to decide

Quote:

How about gays? Shall the government and church continue to micromanage their lives, or do they have the same personal liberties to marry those whom they love that the rest of us have?

i dont believe the government should be involved in marriage anyways, it seems more a function of the church. i dont care if gays marry, as long as im not forced to endorse or subsidize what theyre doing; and vice versa. i dont want any sexual behavior or coming-of-age curriculums in the public school either.. but otherwise i couldnt care less

Quote:

Where are YOUR limits on personal liberties and freedom of choice?

i have the right to do whatever with my property, my body, habits, vices, whatsover, so long as i do not harm another individual or infringe on his rights. the governments role is to enforce these contracts, thats the basis of law isnt it? thats what was established under the constitution and bill of rights. fortunately, thats how a truly free society operates.. there are risks when you let people control their own destinies. its quite contrary to creating laws to micromanage peoples lives, manage their habits and behaviors, through government coercion
