It's true: Many dogs react to the Law & Order theme music by barking or howlng! Apparently, the Law and Order theme song affects a lot of dogs. A quick YouTube search reveals dozens of videos recorded by dog owners who observe their pets flipping out when the TV show theme music begins. Does the tune contain a hidden frequency that only canines can hear?

It's kind of weird that this only gets noticed in the show's TWENTIETH year on the air, though...

For the record, I've watched the show(s) on and off for years, and none of my dogs have ever shown any reaction to it that I've noticed.

Well, it's a generally known thing that dogs react strongly to the presence of evil...

So maybe it's the lawyers.

At least this isn't as bad as the Overtoun Bridge, which also has tremendously bad effects on canine behavior.

I've seen cats flip out for no discernible to humans reason either, one package I got from Amazon, Squirmy apparently considered the packing manifest an icon of evil or something and came after it with shocking ferocity, not stopping until it was firmly, thoroughly shredded, then snapped it up in her little fangs, carried it to the litterbox, peed on it, and buried it.

Just one of those WTF?! moments, I guess.

Wow, that's wild...and creepy! But a blurb on the video says "The dogs did not jump the bridge without cues from owners as well as many other influencing factors", Dr. David Sands. Who would DO that? Well, given they're humans, stupid question...

One of the possibilities proposed is the scent of mink, and I see in the test they did, 7 went straight to the mink scent (including a blind poodle) and only 1 to the squirrel...none to the mice. Still, unless the scent was overpowering and galvanized the dog into jumping without looking, it's weird.

Are you sure the Law & Order dogs aren't singing tho'? I love the show; they're on the cutting edge of stuff "ripped from the headlines", as they like to brag.
