This one is a bit near and dear to my heart, as I had to pull out my extendable emergency cane on the second to last round last night, and call in a relief for the final cause I just could NOT function due to the horrific pain, despite a very high tolerance threshold for it - and over the years the nonstop, constant pain, from merely irritating, to downright crippling, has had a very detrimental affect on my health and psyche - which given american doctors fear of doing their JOB and working with the patient, thanks to the fucking DEA, I am far from the only one who's life is constantly impacted in a negative kinda way from chronic pain.

Untreated Chronic Pain Violates International Law

Interesting to think of it as a human rights issue, but on second thought, it is - and the US is as much a violator as any, since they'd rather see you die screaming than touch the "third rail" of a controlled substance, at least one that isn't a useless but hyper-profitable Big Pharma "miracle product"... *hisssss*

Some days I wonder if the real purpose of the DEA isn't to hamstring Big Pharmas competition.

Bear in mind, and I dun think I have mentioned this before, but when you've suffered pain for a long time and remove the problem, sometimes the nerves themselves are so conditioned to giving those signals that they continue to send pain-signal FOREVER, even if the problem has been resolved, and I've got some of that going on too, just consider what it feels like to have one or more nerves transmitting pain 100% of the time, all day, every day, for the rest of your life.

And being told, no we can't cut it, that's unethical, and no we can't medicate it cause we'd get arrested, or even the old "oh you're not REALLY in pain" standby bullshit that makes people wanna choke medical personnel to death on the spot.

As if medical personnel weren't stupid enough, since a painkiller is 90% MORE effective if taken before the pain fully gets its claws into you, and if you're a petulant little jackass and wait till the patient is curled in a ball of suicial misery before offering any, that pathetic little 10% of effect it's gonna have is naught more than a slap in the face to your victi... err, patient.

Fuck em all, I went home and threw back a triple of rum, cause modern medicine here in the US is a buncha fuckin butchers from the stone age when it comes to pain management and I'd just as soon not bother.

The best pain management drug I've ever used is apple cider vinegar and honey in a cup of distilled water, three times per day. This "cures" extreme pain from rigor mortis, which is calcification of muscles, dead or alive. The acidic vinegar dissolves the calcium phosphate.

But no doctor will every tell this fact to a patient in pain.

This is a very common pain in hospice, as old folks are murdered by dehydration and kidney failure, and go into rigor mortis while still alive, then given fatal OD by morphine.
