I await the "armageddon" predicted by Republican representatives.
That's it folks, kiss our culture & way of life goodbye!
We're in the handbasket, and on our way to Hell.

And remember those transgenics that escaped the Manticore complex last year in Gillette Wyoming?

We are SO screwed!!!!

Only you, Chris, can tie the health insurance reform bill to Dark Angel, somehow.

You know, what I don't understand is this. If the Republicans and the insurance conglomerates were going to fight this bill anyway, why didn't they shoot for what they really wanted: nationalized health care?

Hell, I woulda voted for that instead of this nightmare they've foisted on us.

Makes me wonder if they really wanted nationalized health care.

Since this Healthcare Bailout Bill was written by insurance companies, will the Repubs actually sue like they promised?

Or was it just another dog on pony show to fool the sheeple? Just liek the private "Federal" Reserve Act was secretly written by the jew banksters, "to get those big bad banksters under control!"

Now we're just another ex-superpower, looking for a handout & wondering why we voted this death-blow-dealing bill into law.

The bill creates as many problems as it solves, but any change is better than none at this point IMO.

Another few tweaks over the years might make it work well, we'll see.

OR- it's the end of the world as we know it; I feel fine.

That's THE PLAN. No small images on the interwebs, and I don't feel like resizing and hosting it myself.

BTW, the Healthcare Bailout Bill has NOT passed.

Good luck with that. This Court seems to have already sold itself to the corporations, I don't think those corporations are going to want the Court to throw out their millions of new mandatory customers.

Ain't corporate personhood grand?

Of course - It's brilliant! With NO public option, and NO single-payer system, and NO Medicare For All, and mandated PURCHASING of health insurance from PRIVATE, FOR-PROFIT corporations, it's clear it's designed from the outset to destroy corporations.

So was that what the Republicans were doing for all those years, when they were shoveling money at the corporations as fast as they could? They were really just trying to make them collapse under the weight of all that money?

It truly is pathetic AND laughable how much he shits his pants on just the occasion of a bill passing the House. It hasn't even passed the Senate yet, and Rappy's already given up and proclaimed the nation finished. Pity we don't have more of his kind in the military - we'd have less of his kind already! :)

No, it's only childish when a child, like yourself, tries to say it to others, when it so clearly does not apply, except to you.

You know what you said, and how you brought down this thread, as you always do, by going all foul mouthed and pre - pubescent.

You're not capable to engage in reason, logic or mature conversation. We get that. It's just sad that you feel the need to remind everyone of that fact so often.

Note YOUR words, and how YOU "brought down this thread" with your foul-mouthed pre-pubescence.

In your own words (mangled language as they may be), "You're not capable to engage in reason, logic or mature conversation."

We all get that. We all get that you have no purpose here, except as laughing stock and butt of all jokes. It seems you're the only one who doesn't get that.

In the long run, we're going to look back and say, ".... Meh... Of all the laws ever passed, this was certainly one of them..."

Medicare Part D was a terrible idea, poorly executed - but nobody gets any traction by running on the idea of repealing it, because the people who have it and use it, don't want to lose it, even if it is flawed. I imagine this will be the same deal: not perfect, not even close, but accepted.

Click on Bills, Resolutions

Click on Search Bill Summary, Status

Type HR03590 in the search line and enter

Select CRS Summary on the bill's title page.

I got no idea why the address for the summary takes you to email if you copy and link it.

Only thing that happens when I click that is that my e-mail program opens and tries to send a mail to thomas.loc.gov.

Odd. You sure you got that address right?

LUCKLY, I didn't need any.

Obviously, I didn't.

Isn't there like +10% unemployment in this country? How are they supposed to afford it?

I'm guessing minimal health insurance isn't as cheap as liability only car insurance.

I'm trying not to jump to any conclusions... yet... but... if I were to I would be very frustrated. WTF? Mandatory? When I was making zero money my folks paid for my insurance or I went without.

I can't figure the math on this either - more people paying in AND it will cost an extra TRILLION even though we're going to make it more efficient? Any mention of how our rates will drop? Anybody?

And small businesses having to pay for their employees? I still don't get why it's their responsibility to buy their employees' insurance - what's the connection? I predict many small businesses will outsource if they can to avoid paying (the last straw), at the current rates that's a business breaker.

But I'm going to wait until all the reports are in before I judge.

10% must become 0%- there's no other way.

Seriously, there must be a provision for that...

Help me out, O knowledgeable ones!

Like driving, living is not a right, it's a privilege. Make money or make tracks.

That should be the guy's slogan who goes around knocking on the doors of people who are unemployed. "It's the Gov's way or the highway loser... now go get a job deadbeat!" The world would be a much better place

Actually, the business-bought insurance model is the CURRENT system. Do you get insurance from your employer? I do, to an extent (they pay half, I pay half). This in essence makes everyone who DOES get employer-paid healthcare an indentured servant, tied to their job and afraid to leave for fear of going without or picking up a "pre-existing condition" when they're in the limbo of not having any insurance until the new job's insurance kicks in.

As to how the poor and unemployed will pay, as I understand it there will be programs and subsidies to reimburse them or to pay their premiums outright. I might be wrong on that, but that was one of the things I heard mentioned.
