If you don't know, Prime Minister Kevin Rudd and Communications Minister Stephen Conroy have planned to make internet filters compulsory and outlaw certain websites. The thing is no one will be allowed to see what is banned or why. Several government sites have already been hacked by "Anonymous" in protest.

So, I put the question to you dear interweb users: Do you support filtering, oppose filtering or are you in a shade of grey (in the middle)?

AURAPTOR

America loves a winner!

Government filter of the internet?

Uh... no.

Going after, prosecuting and shutting down child porn ? Sure.

Doing the same for hate sites, which preach the murder and annihilation of others based on race, ideology, or religion, etc... ? Again, sure.

But then, some like to warp and distort the lines, as to what defines anything as 'hate', and that leads to problems.

So, while the intent be well placed, the reality of it is ....somewhat more complex.

Summer Glau can simply walk into Mordor

Bones: "Don't 'rawr' her!"
Booth: "What? she'rawred' me first."

I thought Kevin Rudd was prime minister of Australia, not China.
