This thread is for all those folks who said Bush lied about WMDs and it turns out he was tellin the truth.

If some of you (statistically 40-50% depending on which poll you like) want to apologize for electing Obama and express your desire to return to the days of the Bush administration...you can include that as well.

You're wasting your time. It'd be more productive if you tried talking to a brick wall. The mantra has been sent out, repeated, bought and chanted for too long now.

It's like those in Iraq, who said Saddam wasn't really captured, it was only a double, and that he'll soon return ( sound familiar ? ) , one day, to drive the evil Americans out.

And yet, never once has anyone been able to back up their claims that Bush absolutely KNEW there were no WMD, and that he lied. Even after Saddam had them, used them on Iranians and his own people, on multiple occasions. The Left openly stated as such, time and time again, and yet, the mantra has been put out there anyway, to be memorized by the masses, to overwhelm any coherent, intelligent or honest debate.

Everyone knew that Saddam had WMD.... from the mid 1980's. The joke of the day was... Of course we knew Saddam had WMD... we still have the receipts!. We had many long discussions on this board about which chemical weapons can survive heat and for how long (mustard gas is the only one). At the time I was personally involved in a civilian chemical WMD detection program, so I know the topic pretty well. Even the article which you, Wulf, Rappy etc point to as some sort of "justification" for this feckless invasion said
