Oh, gawd... She DID it! She learned from Sarah how to parlay a failed election bid into money, money, money! Damn, those Tea Partiers know how to play the game...
Quote:

She handily lost her bid for the Senate, but Delaware Republican Christine O'Donnell says she's fielding plenty of other job offers.

Appearing on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno - the Tea Party-backed candidate whose colorful comments rocketed her to the national stage but ultimately hindered her Senate hopes – said plenty of high-profile opportunities are knocking on her door.

"The offers have been interesting," she told Leno. "Anything from a book deal to a reality show."

But O'Donnell – who beat establishment Republican Rep. Mike Castle in the Delaware Primary and subsequently found little support among national Republicans – said she's more interested in hosting a program that keeps the government accountable.

"I am not necessarily interested in a reality show…I would like to do something like a watchdog-type show," said O'Donnell.

And when it comes to the possibility of mounting a fourth bid for federal office, the Delaware Republican said she isn't sure.

"I don't know if it'd run again. I'd like to keep that option open," she said. "Our country is facing serious issues. Whatever I do, I'd like to continue to advocate for those issues."

"How about being a pundit on Fox News?" Leno asked.

"I did the pundit thing and that's what got me in trouble in the first place," she replied.

A spokesperson for Fox has said the network has no plans to hire O'Donnell.

...yeah, they say that NOW...

Damn, she's good. A perpetual candidate for years, used her contributions to live off, hung onto her student loan until she was sued to pay it, and from now on she'll be rollin' in dough... wow. Well done, Christine, you learned from the master.

And who says she isn't a witch? If she ever runs out of money, she can always run again...or threaten to. It's working for Sarah...

DREAMTROVE

You heard it here first. Remember when people were panicking over this and said "This loon could get in" and "isn't she scary" or stupid, etc.

My first post was my first reaction "Nah, she's really clever, she knows how to get lots of money and power for nothing, and has no intention of winning." The icing on the cake though was that I'm not a witch ad. That was fucking awesome.

I have respect for this woman.

Remember, it's not really the voters who through money at her, it's better than that: Major corporations through money at her. If you think they're not that dumb, watch their commercials sometime. Then fathom that they actually not only paid to produce that commercial, but paid someone else to air it. Usually lots and lots of times.

Damn. I DO remember it, DT, and you were right. I was hoping so at the time, and now I'm tickled PINK you were right. Sure speaks to the "honesty" of a Tea Party candidate...
