OK, I love Cracked, and I love entertaining conspiracy theories. I'm just having a ball.

Freedom is Important because People are Important

Hello,

One would have thought to see MKULTRA in there somewhere.

"The government is running a brothel, and then blackmailing the customers to keep them mum about psycho/medical experimentation and torture."

The History of the CIA is filled with these fun facts.

I was surprised too. But maybe it is because so many know about it, it is no longer news.

The rest of the stuff... I admit I had no idea, with the exception of COINTELPRO. I had no idea they dumped mosquitos into the state of Georgia, or released bacteria into San Francisco, or experimented with microwaving people to give them artificial fevers, or poisoned alcohol during the Prohibition to kill 10,000 people....

Good God. This is just stuff they admit to.

DREAMTROVE

I find the authors difficult to tolerate. Also, my browser crashed after #3

1) pain Ray. actually, my sister knew the actual tinfoil hat woman who started it. As with most conspiracy nuts, she was a former govt. Operative.

Quote:

So, yeah, they'd never use that information against you. As long as you're white.

2) Nonsense. Anyone who thinks that the population control is about the white race is a moron. It's about small elite families and their own genetic line. If someone joins that group and is Chinese or black, then they benefit as well, against all of the rest of us, regardless of color. The monkeysphere of the powers that be is not this large, and it never was. "white supremacists"? Not sure they ever existed. Nazis hated Slavs, and Jews, they also were not sure about Mediterraneans. Or arabs, or Berbers, or Russians, or Americans. Or large sections of the German population. Neither have the eugenecists before or after them. To the english, the Irish are still considered an inferior sub humanoid race, and thats their closest genetic relative.

3) oh, I'm too annoyed to continual yes, this happened, but acting like this is what people are talking about is either idiocy or dishonesty at best, and blatant propaganda at worst.

Even notice how conspiracies are always something that happened in the past, the further back the better? Never last week, or this week, or next week.

Cracked.com is part of the media run state.

Well, that is not what they're saying.

They cited two instances when the Census was used to persecute certain demographics. The first time was Japanese, and the second time was Arab. So they cracked a joke about you're safe if you're white.

It's like this DT. It's a humor site. They make people laugh by telling little known stories in funny ways. Pardon the redundancy, but their silly picture captions are not meant to be taken seriously.

The idea that the govt controls the media is a foregone conclusion for you or me. But it isn't for most normal Americans. So yes, sometimes they have to state the very very obvious.

And to prove the obvious, they reveal a little known fact. I had no idea about Operation Mockingbird or that the CIA bribed journalists like that. I mean, I knew they controlled the media, but I didn't know how. So see, cause of Cracked, I learned something.

Again, you're taking a humor site too seriously, dude. They are not ConspiraciesRUs.com . They aren't claiming to be the clearinghouse of conspiracy information.

When it comes to accusing the government, which many fellow citizens feel to be our friend and protector, of malfeasance, you just lose your audience if you go on like PN. They will dismiss every word.

Now, you tell them something they didn't know that is not in dispute about govt malfeasance in the past. It helps them see this parental figure isn't perfect, but doesn't threaten their emotional security. It's not a bad baby step to take.

OK, I know you don't like Cracked and will find fault with everything they say. That's fine. But most of your criticisms stem from expecting them to be something more noble and serious than what they are: a crude, low-brow rip-off of Mad Magazine. You know, they used to be run by the owners of The National Enquirer and the Weekly World News. Let's put them in perspective, right?

For those of us who read them for laughs, they provide quite a bit of edutainment value. It's all in expectations, dude.

Like woman, I am a mystery.

Cracked is one of the best sites on the internet. Their articles are always hysterically funny.

Socialist and unashamed about it.

Oh you don't know the half of it...

When one makes a concerted effort to learn about such things, just when you think you've seen something so outrageous, so horrible, that it takes the cake, platter and table...
You stumble across something WORSE.

Till you get to a point where you just wind up accepting that there is no low they'll not stoop to, no deed evil enough that they'll not do it.

And it is at THAT point, I think - which you truly begin to understand what Government really IS.

Which is how most Anarchists come to be.

-Frem

P.S. - Yes, Cracked can be damn funny, I just wish they'd ease up on the heavy load of malware laden script ads sometimes, even my browser struggles with the site cause of the amount of crap it has to block.

That's what this is. I'm stumbling on this stuff through Cracked, of all places. And they have links!

I mean I knew about COINTELPRO, and MKULTRA. I knew about a few awful things we've done in other countries. But I really had no idea our govt did this stuff to Americans.

As much as I find conspiracy theories entertaining, and I am open to them, I never really believed them in my heart. I'd much rather believe in incompetence than evil.

Now, knowing about all these precedents, I'm getting there.

Well, in that case imma add one I am surprised that Cracked missed, cause it'd be right up their alley, pun intended.

I swear, the initial concept is as bad as hiring an Anarchist to do police work.

LOL. Seriously. Cats? Really?

OK, you know what this sounds like to me? $20 million stolen for black ops or personal pocketbooks or whatever. And one poor dead kitty.

>^..^< POOR kitty

cts

yeah, i got that , it just hit me in the wrong mood.

also, they annoy me. snopes annoys me in a similar, way, i guess anyone who acts as an informatiiin authority is bound to.

comedy is hard. steven colbert can be very funny but it does not take very long to be annoying.

ITS like, its much more, serious, its like holocaust jokes. Its hard to make it work.

another one that hits me the same way is mythbusters

I have a quirky zense of humor.,i almost never find manufactured, comedy funny., like, okay leslie neilsen is hysterical as,are, mostthigs, like that, but rarely do i find an american comdy movie, funny. OTOH,i find bill forsythe has me rolling on the floor.

Im not sure, what it is, but i guess,if i dont, laugh, i start to get annoyed at the agenda underneath.
i thought about the onion.it hasnt hit me this way, but since the take over, its gotten close, a few times.

Sure. I'm annoyed by mythbusters too. I get that.

It's just that, Cracked isn't trying to be an information authority like Snopes or Mythbusters, or even Colbert.

The only reason I cite the stuff from their articles is that they actually have links.

So, just think a funny National Enquirer turning into a limited internet portal for wacky and obscure history trivia. That's all they are. NOT an information authority.
