My comments about Comedy dying have been posted a few times here. I was kinda shocked at how much Comedians steal from each other
Dave Chappelle he seems to copy, get inspired by or even STEAL from other guys, Owen Benjamin's Acts word for word.
People would tell jokes of trannies, Owen Benjamin was one of the early bannings, seems to have gone off the grid with Pewdiepie bannings and Logan Paul youtuber stuff, some people came back to u tube and the mainstream after bannings while otehrs went full Prepper and are off the grid?

anything I've seen of Andy Dick weirded me out, I'm not totally puritan or prude I watched lots of cursing or naughty humor like South Park but I always found Andy Dick a step too far, maybe without wit and class

I had seen his name pop up during the Hollywood New York tv show movies sexual harassment scandals, Ashley Judd, "Rose" McGowan, Asia Argento...a name Andy Dick would keep popping up and many stories. Some people say Andy Dick is not a very bad person, but its a weird line, other have knocked him the fuck out when he tried to grab dudes, others say had potential before he lost his mind to drugs and other weird shit.

He's got plenty of wit. You're right about class though. Andy Dick on his best behavior is bereft of class.

And I also agree that he weirded me out on occasion too. Sometimes I'd be watching his show and in the middle of two hilarious skits he'd have one that would just make you... uncomfortable. It certainly wasn't a show for everyone. 43 year old me probably never would have watched it, but I was like 20 when it was on MTV.

But a "step too far", I don't know if I can give a hard label to it. I mean... people who have done everything to kill comedy in the last 20 years use phrases like that all the time.

Yeah. I'm surprised he's still alive.

Almost all of the comic greats had drug problems either throughout their career or at some point of their lives. They're kind of messed up people. They've seen a lot of shit. It kind of comes with the territory.

I'm not saying that "well adjusted" adults who grew up with two great parents and a house with a white picket fence can't be funny on occasion, but they're never going to be Norm McDonald, Dave Chappelle, Robin Williams or Sam Kinnison.

Where is on screen movie comedy now, years of Mel Brooks, Peter Sellers, Robin Williams, The acting and musical oerformance of Blues Brothers, Mike Myers, Abbott and Costello, Charlie Chaplin, Tropic Thunder, Airplane, The Graduate, Some Like It Hot, National Lampoon's, suddenly everything was a remake but cast it and remade politically with a Gay Homosexual Transexual Black or Lesbian Homosexual islamic Feminist or something and as weird as that sounds they started to play it safe with Spoofs and then came Cancel culture During Trump...I feel we are back in McCarthyism era but its from the Left now and not the Right

Some play it safe Disney Pixar thing or 'Guardians of the Galaxy' is now classed as one of the better comedy and it is a silly Marvel Superhero blockbuster flick
