THEWRAP.COM - Sarah Michelle Gellar's return to television is getting so much attention that one below-the-title name from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" seems to have gotten lost in the shuffle: Anthony Stewart Head...

Doesn't sound like Sarah or Anthony's shows have much of a chance, but what can you do?

I think Gellar's show will probably last a season or two at least. The concept has potential, and if CBS pairs it with one of their ratings powerhouses, it'll do well enough.

But ASH's show sounds like a wash. How many British import sitcoms have worked? There's The Office, and....?

actually, both All in the Family, and Sanford & Son, were US adaptations of prior British Shows.

But CBS passed on it right? Went to the CW or something instead I thought. Pairing it with Supernatural or Gossip Girl doesn't seem like it will work out too well. Just doesn't seem to fit the CW demographic to me.

Ah, I had missed that detail.

But it does seem like a good match to me. CW is pretty much thriving on soap operas with a genre twist. Seems this'll fit in rather well, and the ratings don't have to be nearly as high on CW as they would on another network.
