Coming soon, the test-tube burger: Lab-grown meat needed to feed the world. We need a courageous person willing to be the first to taste it, says professor.

Hell, considering the lack of quality, poor conditions, animal abuse, hormone injecting and the risk of mad-cow... all in all I see this as a GOOD idea - have I not been harping on this concept for quite a while now ?

It'd reduce the resources involved, ecological impact and all that rot, plus you know some enterprising folk are gonna work the "no added content" angle and try to keep it as close to straight beef as the process allows.

Besides that, with some development you could even clone to taste, lean to juicy, tender to chunky, the skys the limit - AND we could feed the whole damn world and eliminate a lot of world hunger problems, although we'd have to work something else out for the vegans.

Still, this is one step closer to MY bio-engineering drem, the McNugget Tree!

You act like this is a bad thing - it ain't, of course we can't trust em, but once the process is developed, we just yoink it for our own use, right ?

VIVA LA CLONEBURGER!

Wouldn't the fact that the animal no longer has to die mean that a lot of vegans won't have an objection to eating meat?

And, PN, don't knock cannibalism until you try it.

Hey, hey, hey, don't be mean. We don't have to be mean, because, remember, no matter where you go, there you are.

Cloned meat sounds quite a bit tastier than meat made from human feces.

Just sayin'.
