Just making a new thread because I didn't want to completely threadjack the Alliance Flag one.

Over the past few days I've been working on making some Firefly flags because the Independents seemed to have gotten shortchanged in the colors department and I was determined to correct this wrong.

Anyhow, I couldn't get them to post to the Blue Sun Room, and I couldn't find an image hosting site that I liked, so I went and made an Erieass Webpage just to hold the flags up for now.

So if any of y'all want to check it out I'd be honored. Just try not to wince too much, it's the first webpage I ever made (and it shows).

The flags are based off of real world ones that I "Firefly Futured" up using the way the Alliance Flag seemed to have been created. There is no scene in any episode that shows what an Independents flag would look like so I just went off on my own little trainwreck of thought.

Anyhow, hope y'all like them some. I'm working on some more and will add them in as they're done.

Very nice flags. I'm thinking about printing up the Calvary flag and putting it up somewhere in my house.

BTW just to clarify the Browncoat's main flag is a mix of the Confederate flag, England's flag and the Taiwanese Flag right?

Thanks, I'm glad you liked them.

Yeah the "Serenity Valley" flag is a mix of the Union Jack, CSA battle flag and Taiwanese air force ensign mostly.

The stars are a mix of US style ones and Australian ones.

Mostly I did it that way because the "Anglo" part of the Alliance (and Independents) seems to always just be the USA, wanted to give the Brits and Aussies some credit too.

Been tinkering around with another one. All the insights people came up with on the Monty still fighting thread put the urge into me to do an "Unsurrendered" flag for the Browncoats still fighting.

Should be up tonight or tommorow.

Thanks Auraptor, glad you liked 'em.

Just finished adding another one to the page, like I said I think someone (maybe if it isn't Monty) is still out there fighting so I made another Independent flag for them. More solidly based on an actual flag, but for very different reasons. Because, different reasons are good.

Next up, Shadow Colony Moon Seccession Flag. Which is kinda being a pain in my rear so dunno when I'll get it put up.

If there are any places/people you think should have a flag of their own that I haven't thought of, feel free to post what you'd like to see.

And yes, I'm working on a "Balls and Bayonettes Brigade" flag too, but I start laughing everytime I work on it...

Glad ya liked the flags, the site itself is pretty darn plain if I say so myself, but I'll add more stuff to it as I figure out this webpage business. I was basically just trying to make someplace to stick my doodlings. But thanks again!
