Gettin' old, but still a hippie at heart...

Heard about that one. In context, they went on to discuss how being a flight attendant has changed from the freewheeling view of the early days to a hard, grinding job where they have to fly TO the city they take off from, four or five share an apartment just to get some sleep between flights, they now deal with many things they didn't before on the flights, especially frustrated, angry passengers and having to kind of be the "police" on flights, and on and on. It sounds truly awful...and they've had their pay cut and some have lost pensions to boot!

I don't think it's surprising under those conditions that sooner or later one or more would snap!

I read about this. It certainly seems the subject lost their cool entirely and went off their rocker.

I have wondered, however, if there was some precipitating event or trigger that's not being talked about. Something beyond a bad reaction to medicine or whatnot.
