Wowza, just when I think I've seen big, something reminds me there's bigger - first it was Ravens gawdawful boxers, who like to knock me down and slobber on me, although for all their size boxers and kinda wussies, lol...
Then Kungas the Kanga, big enough and STRONG enough to pull a Honda CRX...

And then, well, this.

Imagine taking him for walkies! George the Great Dane is 7ft long, weighs 18st and is the world's biggest dog... but he's terrified of chihuahuas

I dunno how heavy a "stone" is, but I sure wouldn't wanna deadlift him!
I laugh at some of the kids I know when they try to "walk" their dog and wind up gettin walked, but that monster could pull the same stunt on ME!

"We'll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false." -- William Casey, Reagan's presidential campaign manager & CIA Director (from first staff meeting in 1981)

A stone is 14 pounds, so that pup weighs about 250 pounds. One of the dogs I house-sit for weighs in at 120, and he's a big boy. I really couldn't imagine doubling his mass, because when he gets in a playful mood, he already knocks me around a bit!

...Why do people keep saying "winning"? I mean, I know it comes from Charlie Sheen. But why repeat anything Charlie Sheen says? Is it ironic? This one girl I know says it a lot and I'd swear she's just as borderline disorder as Sheen is. I'm not sure if it's me that's not getting the joke here, or her that's not getting the implications?

NIKI2

Gettin' old, but still a hippie at heart...

Wow. Impressive. Otherwise, typically Dane...they are the biggest babies in the WORLD! We had a "pup" (bigger than most adult dogs by then, of course) at the dog park, and he would constantly get on the ground and roll over to play with the smaller dogs. In GENERAL, the bigger the dog, the bigger the baby; the smaller the dog, the fiercer. Same with rabbits and, dare I say it, from my experience, same with humans.

He is magnificent...I knew a mastiff about the same weight, but nothing LIKE the size! How funny he was the runt...tho' that's not that unusual, is it? What a sweetie.

I think Charlie was referring to the "Win" remarks that were on memebase and around the web at the time anyway, though he definitely popularized it. I don't think everyone that uses it does so just because of him. Unfortunately, it does fit for some things, it's simple, and just about everybody gets it. Plus, you can use it sarcastically or honestly. Over used? Prolly...

I'm not sure the girl in question is internet savvy enough to be familiar with FTW. I'm almost certain in her case that it IS charlie sheen.

But... Hmm. I can see it being bastardized from that meme. Thanks for the explanation. In confidence, I suppose I overuse the term epic. I've been trying to come up with alternatives.

I think I remember a stone being about 15 pounds, BTW. (EDIT: Oops, Kwicko got there first)

Large dog. My grandmother used to raise great danes. Some sort of hybridization at play, maybe.
