If you look at the study these stats are apparently based on (sources are nice, BTW), you'll notice that the percentages listed are usually within a few points of the population in general. http://childmolestationprevention.org/pdfs/study.pdf

My bet is, this goes to a grand jury, and the guy gets no-billed. If he's actually brought to trial, I doubt a jury in Texas would convict him, even in one of the "liberal" counties like Travis County (where Austin is). We're the place that acquitted a guy for stalking the perp who broke into his truck, tracking him for three blocks, and putting three slugs into his back, killing him.

This guy has already expressed remorse that the perp died, by the way, saying that was not his intent.

If it were my kid, I'm not sure I'd be able to say that killing the guy wasn't my intent, if the story being reported is accurate and he caught the guy in mid-molestation.

Last night at the barbecue me and my oldest best friend were talking about ex's after his wife went to bed. His biggest laugh was a girl I dated who turned 17 a week after I turned 21. She was a friend of my brother's who her and and a few of her friends had a crush on me while they were in HS.

Her mom loved me, but her Step-Dad hated me.... if he had his way, I'd be on one of those lists...

(seriously, I think he grew to "love" his step daughter more than his wife and hated that she gave me her affections)

There is ZERO moral differential for anyone on those lists from me. If somehow I was put legally on that list for loving a girl who loved me, even though she was 4 years my junior, I might as well have been putting girls in a well and repeating "it puts the lotion in the basket".....

I'd be legally compelled to keep a distance of at least 250 feet from the outskirts of any school, even in my car, and I'd be lumped into the same category as the REALLY evil guys who did "SAW" Movie stuff and.... well.... since I won't watch shit like that, I'll just allow anyone who has fill in those blanks...

The girl I thought I'd marry one day is married now and has a few kids. We talk occasionally. Like all of my old serious Ex's She was once beautiful but now she's over 300 lbs after 3 kids... I feel so bad for her because I have several ex's that I thought would have gotten fat after a kid or two, but....

Most of my good guy friends got old too... Jimmy was the pretty boy.... I dated his wife before they met and I remember being at a party a few years ago when she talked about how amazing looking he was....

It was true.. I had nothing....

I really felt bad for him when I saw him for the first time 3 or 4 years later and he was fat with a bald spot and receeding hair at only 31 years old....

Did marriage do that to him, or did life do that to him..... I dunno....

All I know is that he was Mark Walhburgh back in 2000 and he's Lenard Nemoy in 2012....

Whatever...

Give me a few years....

This house, and a psycologically stable Jack, equals some wanna-be model and her transformation into something else....
