Your govt education, at it again.

A 16-year-old Philadelphia student was ordered by her teacher to leave math class for wearing a Romney-Ryan t-shirt, according to FOX 29.

The teacher told high schooler Samantha Pawlucy to “get out of this class” and pointed to the door when she entered the room, then tried to mark the shirt with a red marker.

Pawlucy’s parents have called for the teacher, who reportedly compared the student’s choice of dress to KKK attire, to be fired immediately.

“This is Philadelphia, the birthplace of freedom and things like that, but we have schools that want to take away her freedom,” the girl’s father said.

The school promptly relieved the math teacher from teaching the class and has promised an investigation

Any wonder why the Dems cater the teacher's unions so much ? HINT: It sure as HELL isn't about helping "the children".

If anything, it's about mind control and stamping out free speech, among other things.

They're basically all the same big Statist cult.

Wasn't my intent, either way. But this only goes to show how absurd US education has become. You get these idiots in charge of class rooms, and they start thinking they're in control of how everyone is suppose to think, to where they feel they are free to openly indoctrinate their students.

Teacher on leave after allegedly forcing students to sign vote for Obama pledge
Quote:

Sharon Sweet, a tenured professor at Brevard Community College in Melbourne, Florida, was placed on an unpaid leave of absence after allegations that she forced students to sign a "Vote for Obama" pledge, Fox News' Todd Starnes reported Monday.

According to a post at Campusreform.org, university officials learned of the pledge last week after receiving a phone call from a concerned parent.

“Based on the allegations, Associate Professor Sweet has requested, and been granted, a leave of absence without pay effective immediately,” John Glisch, Associate Vice President for Communications at BCC, said in a statement.

“The college will continue its investigation into the matter, which will include interviews with all students in her class,” the statement adds.

It seems in both cases people agree that what these individuals did was wrong and action has been taken against them.

I do not think it is necessary to extrapolate a general judgment about all teachers based on these incidents.

Yeah, it was a rediculous thing for the teacher to do, and they got in ntrouble for it, as well they should.

COnversely, I wonder where rappy would stand on the teacher from my school, who was invited to resign because he required all his students to listen to Rush Limbaugh daily in class?

Note to anyone - Please pity the poor, poor wittle Rappyboy. He's feeling put upon lately, what with all those facts disagreeing with what he believes.

Gawd, there goes more of that TRULY sick Dem-bashing! We'd all, of course, do the same, and applaud what the teacher did. Sick. Just plain sick. Agent nailed it:

I might say, "or all Dems", as that was the point of the thread, it seems to me.

There's a fine example of one of our righties going WAY over the top, if anyone cares to notice. Done deliberately to incite response, or is that what he truly believes, I wonder?

It would probably be helpful to know if this particular school, or the school district itself, has a ban on political statements on clothing, or on political advertising on school grounds.

But that would probably involve letting facts get in the way of some knee-jerk outrage...

Just the teacher's union and the arbitrator if this makes it that far.

Unless this teacher ripped the t-shirt from her body and then sexually assaulted her in the name of President Obama...this teacher will not be punished. Even then it's what...sensitivity training and a new school?

Politics is no place for a learning environment, especially when the message IS SO BLATANTLY IGNORANT. The teacher should be given a commendation, not a problem. Are tee-shirts with Nazi emblems condoned too?

That's some pretty spooky rhetoric from AURaptor. I don't know that I've read this level of paranoia from him before. I'm imagining a sort of zombie apocalypse, only instead of the undead, people start metamorphosing into PN.

What class was it ? How long did this take place ? And why ? I can think of lots of reasons why a teacher would make Rush a part of his/ her curriculum. You've not given enough info for me to comment yay or nay.
