So, I had a thought--

Anyone notice a remarkable similarity between the crew of Firefly, and the crew of the cargo ship (name escapes me) from "Alien: Resurrection"???

You got Jayne and his Ron Perlman counterpart.
Mal and his somewhat similar Michael Winslow (sp?) counterpart.
Wash and his somewhat similar (albeit wheelchair-ridden) counterpart.
Zoe and her ass-kicking female counterpart.
Simon and his mysterious character (albeit a female android) counterpart.

Plus, the whole trade ship flying under radar, not asking too many questions about the job thing....

Hmmmm........

Someone in a bad review on Amazon pointed out those similarities and claimed he wouldn't see Firefly because it was just a rehash of Alien Resurrection. I looked at all the other reviews he made and he very rarely if ever gives anything above a 1 star review plus he is one of those Joss Whedon haters and even gave Toy Story a bad review because it was written by Whedon.

But anyways, the similarities are there but just like everyone pointing out the similiarities between Cowboy Bebop or Outlaw Star they are really far between.
