No, I am not looking for a date...anyone in this demographic live in the Northwest Florida area?

Every network is talking about trying to garner the 18-34 male audience that has reduced in double digits over the last few years. Angel, suprisingly, did not bring in numbers as high as the WB hoped in this demographic(this did improve with season 5, but I guess the suits were out sick the days those numbers came in), Angel did however score higher in the 18-34 female grouping than they expected. Smallville, also suprising to me, brought in the good 18-34 male audience they were expecting, and so next year in Angel's time slot, they are running two comedies aimed at this demographic, Blue Collar TV - Jeff Foxworthy's new show based on his stand-up comdy & Green Screen Show - Drew Carey's featuring comic improv

So I thought I would throw this out to the matching democraphic here on this site asking, do you think this is what you would rather be watching? Yes, I know, everyone here is very biased, but since these are the numbers talking, why do you think this is the kind of tv that The WB as well as other networks think you want? And if you aren't watching TV now, do you really think this is what is going to bring you running back to it?

While still on the hunt for this demograhic, as well as new shows to fill the eminant departure of older family dramas such as 7th Heaven, they will also be offering up, The Mountain, Jack & Bobby, and Summerland. Add these to One Tree Hill, Gilmore Girls and Everwood, and we may as well be watching Lifetime.

It just kills me to see such a good show leaving to only be replaced with crap. At least give me something else to get excited about! But until networks start respecting good writing, and understanding the import for show and fan developement over time (yes this is a hit aimed directly at Fox, 11 eps of Firefly and 4 of Wonderfalls and you think you know what you are doing?)tv will continue to be a wasteland, the place where media art goes to die a quick ugly death.

No, I'm not bitter...
OK, I've only made it to stage two of the grief model, Anger, and that took months to get to from Denial, so I still have Bargaining, Depression & Acceptance to go, perhaps Angel will be a movie by then?...see, see how far I am from Acceptance! I am however thinking I will just skip on over that Bargaining with God step, seriously, is he really going to care about my TV show, especially that it is centric on a mass murdering Vampire...whose name is Angel...hmmmm
OK, now I am just rambling...

I and my roomate fit all those categories. I guess we were just in the minority. We are not responsible one bit for any increased rating for crapality shows and the like. We are just as mad as you about them canceling
Angel,Firefly,Wonderfalls...etc.
I never really watched the WB primetime unless I was watching Angel or waiting for Angel to come on. This let me catch Smallville sometimes but except for the last 2min of the last episode it never interested me enough to care to purposely tune in each week and I'm still not sure I will. I never expect to watch the WB again unless its on saturday morning.
Now eventhough I apreciate good scripted TV doesn't mean I don't like some very mindless things on TV. I like the old episodes of the Man Show, I like MXC, I also watch Trading Spaces from time to time, but its the good scriped shows I return to week t week and I don't have any of those left as of Wed night.
I don't know what is up with networks any more

Sorry, I just turned 35, so I guess I can't offer an opinion here.

Dang. I'm aged out of a "cool" demographic.
