In the Caleb vs. Hamilton thread, Shadowvessel brings up the idea of "What if Buffy and Angel had both failed? If Angel had been killed in LA he wouldn't have brought Buffy the amulet to use and The First would have won". That got me thinking about the fact that because Angel gave Buffy the amulet he actually played a significant part in the defeating the First Evil. In fact, if you think about it the First Evil would have not been defeated if Angel had not won in his battle with Jasmine (with the obvious assistant from Connor) and therefore been given the amulet.

So Angel was actually responsible for winning the war against the First Evil. Which brings me to the discussion on this thread: In the grand scheme of things who was actually the greater champion - Buffy or Angel.

I think it was Angel because he managed to accomplish so much without ever dying once. (As opposed to a certain blonde slayer)

Technically the entire time we've known angel he has been dead.

Plus, Buffy has never gone all bizerkoid and killed tons and tons of people.

MAL: This is my scrap of nowhere. You go on and find your own.
SAFFRON: You can't just leave me here, on this
lifeless piece of crap moon...
MAL: Sure I can.
SAFFRON: I'll die.
MAL: Well, as a courtesy, you might start
getting busy on that, cause all this chatter ain't doin' me any kindness.
