Quote:Star Trek: Into Darkness, Predictive Programming? CNN Dec 10, 2012 The teaser trailer for "Star Trek Into Darkness" is grim from start to finish, as it focuses on the havoc Benedict Cumberbatch's much-speculated-about villain aims to unleash. Directed by J.J. Abrams, who also helmed 2009's "Star Trek," "Into Darkness" sees the Enterprise crew facing an evil that emerged from their own organization. As images of destruction play out with plenty of explosions, Cumberbatch's one-man terror force starts in with his ominous questioning. "You think your world is safe?" Cumberbatch says. "It is an illusion. A comforting lie told to protect you." And then, the warning: "Enjoy these final moments of peace. For I have returned to have my vengeance." Judging from the minute-long clip, it'll involve provoking Captain Kirk (Chris Pine), Uhura (Zoe Saldana) and Spock (Zachary Quinto) into battle. "Star Trek Into Darkness" opens May 17, 2013. What do you think of the clip?

But it’s exactly the familiar lust to escape from the present (and straight into some idealized vision of future society) which the elite adds to its arsenal to get the public to go along with its banker-controlled world government, albeit under the guise of a benevolent one.

Quote: Actor Jeffrey Hunter, who played captain Christopher Pike in the Star Trek pilot “The Cage” told a Hollywood columnist in January of ’65 that he hoped the pilot-episode would be picked up as a series because he was intrigued by the fact that the series was based on the RAND corporation’s “projection of things to come.”
