Gettin' old, but still a hippie at heart...

Note: The title is not my wording; it is the title of the article. It is, however, quite an eloquent statement into how the news is NOT covering this spill:
Quote:

The term I chose to search was “Mayflower Tar Sands.”

On the bright Red side of the internet, I found the following gems.

•A very fact filled and informative article on Faux News was first on the list. “It’s obvious that the rupture was not the fault of the state and the state has been damaged in addition to the private property owners” Arkansas Attorney General Dustin McDaniel said to Exxon Mobil in a terribly soft-handed and kid-gloved approach to the situation.

•This one from Fox Business News, all fluff and no substance whatsoever, on how Arkansas’ attorney general is planning an investigation. Everything’s cool here, some of ya’ll can go home now! Just ignore that smell…

•Over to CNN, proudly neither Red nor Blue and sadly the news here is just as anemic. In a statement that confounds the logical mind, Representative Lee Terry of Nebraska stated the Keystone XL pipeline “is primed to give our economy a shot in the arm and make energy more affordable — and it won’t cost the taxpayers a dime.” If I tried to follow the logic of this I’d end up taking a long walk off a short pier. To see why Rep. Terry’s statement makes my head hurt, consult Pipeline Timmy on Mother Jones.

35 jobs is just the shot in the arm our economy needs, said no one ever.

A quick jaunt to the Blueish Green side of the internet and like a breath of fresh air, truth blew across my path.

•Rachel Maddow exposed the state of the art technology Exxon is using to clean up the spill. Paper towels? Seriously?

•Mother Jones provided yet more chilling details with an article about the Kalamazoo River Tar Sands spill of two years ago and just how well that’s going.

•Like a special treat saved for dessert, I visited Occupy Mayflower for the real story.

While no one seems to have a true count of the gallons lost with reports ranging from 10,000 to 800,000 gallons, it is clear that this is being vastly downplayed if not outright lied about by most “mainstream media” outlets. http://www.addictinginfo.org/2013/04/14/cnn-and-faux-news-a-conspiracy

Anyone interested in facts you're NOT hearing from the MSM, check out http://www.occupy.com/tags/mayflower, where they're delving into it in detail.

The propaganda/censorship movement is in full swing.
