•Over to CNN, proudly neither Red nor Blue and sadly the news here is just as anemic. In a statement that confounds the logical mind, Representative Lee Terry of Nebraska stated the Keystone XL pipeline “is primed to give our economy a shot in the arm and make energy more affordable — and it won’t cost the taxpayers a dime.” If I tried to follow the logic of this I’d end up taking a long walk off a short pier. •Mother Jones provided yet more chilling details with an article about the Kalamazoo River Tar Sands spill of two years ago and just how well that’s going.

•Like a special treat saved for dessert, I visited Occupy Mayflower for the real story.
