"Extremely divisive rhetoric from Jackson and Cuccinelli reflects the social agenda they would impose on Virginia. At a time when Virginians are looking for leaders who focus on jobs, the Tea Party has nominated a ticket whose careers have been defined by a radical social agenda," Opponent Terry McAuliffe campaign spokesman Brennan Bilberry said in a statement.

Jackson is rapidly becoming known for a raft of controversial statements that have bubbled up online in the wake of his surprise victory on Saturday. He has publicly questioned President Barack Obama's faith and has been spearheading efforts to recruit black Democrats to the GOP since last year, when he unsuccessfully ran for Senate in Virginia.

As lieutenant governor, Jackson would hold the tie-breaking vote in what is currently an evenly divided state Senate. Republicans currently hold the lieutenant governorship and control of the 40-seat body. Crazies like this make me sad; I mean, in some ways (especially in STATE government) I'm glad to see them destroy the right's chances, but at the same time, it's yet another sign of how far the right has to come BACK to sanity, and that they're not even close to STARTING yet...

No one shall remove, destroy, or otherwise dispose of any remains without the express authorization of law-enforcement officials or the medical examiner. Any person violating the provisions of this subsection shall be guilty of a Class 1 misdemeanor.

Under Virginia law, a Class 1 misdemeanor carries a maximum sentence of “ confinement in jail for not more than twelve months and a fine of not more than $2,500,” so Obenshain’s bill could lead to a woman who decides to take a day to grieve the loss of a pregnancy she’d hoped to carry to term spending a year of her life in jail for that decision.

Easy answer: "Only a Republican". Yes, it IS insane, but then it's obvious that we've got far too much insanity running around in this country today by the fact that I can find enough "Crazy From the Right" to give you just a small dose EVERY DAY!
