Okay, so we know he's responsible for sending Fred to Pylea, but how? What exactly did he do? If anyone could explain this thoroughly for me I'd be happy. I do know that he admitted to it, but I thought she jumped to conclusions, she didn't examine it a little bit more. But if I was sent in another dimension for 5 years I'd be ready for some killin' as well. Thank to those who help.

I believe he led her to open the portal to Pylea, thus manipulating her into going there. It's been a long time since I've seen the episode, though.

On a related note, Randy Oglesby, who played Professor Seidel, is my boss's brother in law. He gave me a complete set of Angel trading cards in a binder that the company gave him after he autographed several hundred of his character's cards!

I was shocked by the lack of continuity in Supersymmetry. In Season 2 it is established that Fred opened a portal by reading aloud words from a book - a fact which was confirmed when they used the same readings to open a portal to get back. The reason they don't mention how the professor allegedly 'sent' her to Pylea is because it doesn't make any sense inside the continuity of the show. You could try to explain by saying that he somehow caused her to read the book but if so why wouldn't she know? It was all rather flimsy.

Absolutely! Why the heck had he led her to the book? What'd he say: "Here, Winifred, head to the library and read this book, say it a loud and it might interest you.." it doesn't make sense, there are many theories but it angers me that none are said in the show.

It's 'new writer syndrome' - I think Supersymmetry is the first Elizabeth Craft/Sarah Fain episode.
