Funny, Chloe Grace Moretz also did the reboot of Let The Right One In and I was sorely disappointed. For me nothing beats the original, on both counts.
Don't get me wrong, I think Chloe is a fantastic actress, she just suffered
from being given a bad script, and poor direction.

I actually preferred the remake of Let The Right One In myself. Thought the script was fine (including elements from the book that the original cut out) and found the direction to be very solid, especially in capturing the 70's vibe (which I thought the original did half-heartedly - which may have been an effect of the lower budget, but still bothered me).
